Allosaurus walk WIP.
On hold until I find out what the current opinion is on proper dino arm positions are. I remember a few years ago there was some excitement over how raptors held their hands, wether it was palms facing in, or palms facing down. I think it’s supposed to be palms facing in these days? Then there’s the feather issue. I noticed most smaller and later species seem to be getting feathers on their newest interpretations, but some of the bigger dinosaurs haven’t received an update yet, with theories ruminating that they would have down as hatchlings that would be shed as they neared adulthood… so yea… more research is needed.
Speaking of scientific accuracy, this tail might be a good 1/4 to 1/3 shorter than it should be. Also I’m debating on the merits of a stiffer tail to show more control as a tool for balancing rather than just being a counter weight waving about in secondary action.
I thought this would be easy after the ostrich study, but there are so many little things that add up to me needing to think about my approach a lot differently.
Crits welcome. I’ve been looking at this thing for too long.
